3 yards of 108" Bridal Illusion Veiling Tiara for head piece
Method3 yards of 108" bridal illusion open veiling, and fold in half. Then, fold over in half again. Now, fold diagonally several times and cut straight across, starting to cut at shortest side (Ill. #1). Fold back 30" for blusher. Measure 27" on each side of veiling and mark. Fold veiling together and measure 9" down center back and mark a slanting line with pins to meet the 27" markings on each side of veil (Ill. #2). Cut out, (Ill #3). Unfold veiling and make three rows .of fine shirring between the 27" marks, (Ill. #4). Draw shirring threads up all together and sew veil to tiara.

Material Required
1 1/2 yards 72" Bridal Illusion Veiling 1 head piece - tiara or cap
MethodCut each corner round on this piece of veiling (Ill. #1). Turn one end of veiling over 24" for blusher (Ill. #2). Then measure 18" on each side of veiling and mark with a pin. Shirr between these pins, (Ill. #3), three rows of shirrings. Leave shirring threads long and draw them up at one time. Pin to head piece and sew.
Hand SillrringShirring is made by placing rows of gathers one under the other. Space the rows as desired.


| Three Tiered Bridal Veil |

Material Required
3 6" veil with three tiers takes 3 yards of 72" Bridal Illusion Veiling. For a fuller veil, buy 3 yards of 108" Bridal Illusion Veiling. Headpiece
Circling TiersFirst tier will measure 36" long. Second tier will measure 26" long. Third tier will measure 16" long. Tiers may be made shorter to suit your own ideas.
MethodFor each tier use entire width of veiling. Circle each tier edge and pin all tiers together. (Ill. #1). Then, gather three rows of fine shirring at top of tiers. Leave your shirring threads long and draw all three threads up together to fit headpiece, having plenty of fullness on each side front. Sew veiling to underside of headpiece.
Shoulder VeilRequires 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 yards of 72" veiling. Circle veiling. Fold veiling over 21". Then measure 18" on each side of veil, (Ill. #2), and gather veil between these marks. Pull shirring threads up to fit headpiece and then attach veil on underside.

Material Required
1 yard 72" Bridal Illusion Veiling
MethodCut two 3 6" circles. Separate each circle. Fold circles in half and pin circles together. Measure 12" on each end of folded circles and mark (Ill. #1). Shirr three rows of shir-rings between these marks. Pull up shirring threads and sew veil to back of head piece.

Square of satin to cover disc

Cover disc with satin. Pin satin on the bias back, front and sides of frame, and sew satin to underside of frame (Ill. #1). Cut a 30" circle of net double. Fold net circle over and attach to back of satin covered disc. Trim, the disc with dainty flowers. (Ill. #2).
LACE MANTILLA VEILMaterial Required
Mantilla - Lace Scarf Plastic band
METHODCover plastic band with taffeta or net (Ill. #1). Pin tucks or shirrings in center near edge of lace scarf to fit top of head, and tack to plastic band (Ill. #2).

Wire Frame
1/4 yd. net
1/3 yd. Satin
3 yds. satin baby ribbon
1 1/2 yds narrow lace - 1" wide
Sheet wadding
Use a wire frame (Ill. #1). Wind wires with 1" net strips. Make a 1" heading and shirr net (Ill. #2), then pin net all around brim edge (Ill. #3) and sew to frame. Pull net into headsize and sew net to wire. Then, sew flowers around headsize and finish back with a ribbon bow (Ill. #4).
Pillow For Ring BearerMake a heart-shaped pillow and cover the pillow with satin. Trim edge of the pillow with shirred lace. Add baby ribbon streamers with tiny nosegays of valley lillies attached to streamers. Sew ring to center of pillow with a fine thread and a loose stitch.
Slip Cover For Prayer BookMake slip cover of satin padded with sheet wadding. Cover satin with net and edge with narrow shirred lace. Leave one side of cover open to slip prayer book in. Trim with tiny bows and streamers of baby ribbon.
